Join Dr Kate Hanneman as they discuss the key elements and take-aways from two recent CAR-published papers and orient us all on the general impact of radiology from a planetary perspective to a team and data-led perspective, to a progressively more specific-to-MRTs perspective. Then, join MRT Natalie Rozanec, who will highlight their recent work, the impact and experiences of MRTs working towards environmental action, and examples of steps an MRT can take to be a part of the change we want to see in our environment.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the most impactful consequences of radiology on the environment.
- Understand the role of the radiology team in mitigating environmental impacts of radiology.
- Discuss recent CAR papers on the topic of environmental stewardship in radiology.
- Summarize pathways, recommendations & guidelines for implementation of more environmentally sustainable actions in radiology.
- Compare recent achievements of healthcare teams (including, for example, shortened MRI protocols).
