Tristan and Amanda are members of Queering Cancer, a community-based group whose mission is to improve health and wellness for sexual and gender diverse people affected by cancer. Tristan is a transgender man, ovarian cancer survivor and clinical oncology social worker. Amanda is a queer radiation therapist and researcher. In this session they will weave lived experience with best practices in affirming care for transgender and gender-diverse people (TGD) people affected by cancer from diagnosis, through treatment and survivorship.

- Explore the multifaceted healthcare experiences of TGD people affected by cancer.
- Navigate the intersection of TGD care and Medical Radiation Technologist practice in a typical cancer trajectory.
- Describe ways of providing affirming care for TGD Individuals with a focus on empathy, inclusivity, and cultural competency.
