1.00 Category A Credit
Presenters: Julie Gagnon LLB, Heidi Besuijen LLB
Learning Objectives:
At first blush, the Health Professions Act (HPA) can seem like an overwhelming document mired in layers of hard-to-follow rules upon rules. However, in reality the HPA grants health professions a substantial privilege: the ability to regulate themselves. While the HPA is complex, it doesn’t have to be complicated. In this practical and demystifying session, you will learn what self-regulation is (and isn’t) and you will gain a clear understanding of the framework created by the HPA, including how the Standards of Practice, the Code of Ethics, and the Continuing Competence Program (CCP) apply. You will leave with insight into what self-regulation actually means for medical diagnostic and therapeutic technologists’ day in and day out.
Member Price: $0.00
