This engaging module, which you can take individually or as the third module in the Identity Matters: LGBTQ2S+ series, examines Medical Radiation Technology practice to identify strategies to build an affirming healthcare environment for LGBTQ2S+ patients. Respectful and inclusive communication strategies, policies and guidelines, a welcoming physical environment and the importance of health professional education will all be covered.
This is the third of four modules in the series. Candidates will earn a Special Recognition digital badge after completion of all four modules. These courses can also be applied to the Diversity and Inclusion Micro Certificate program.
