This session was recorded at CONNECT 2018.

Presenter: Paul Regehr, BA, MA, BSc OT

Learning Objectives:
According to a U of A report, about 20% of Alberta adults experienced an addiction or mental health disorder in 2012. This means that you have both colleagues and patients that have mental health issues. The goal of the presentation is gain a greater understanding of what common mental health issues look like, perhaps bust some myths about mental health, and gain some strategies on how to be helpful to both colleagues and patients who are having trouble. We will also discuss how to manage anxiety and stress responses in people who do not meet the criteria for a mental health disorder, but may be having difficulty in your office.
